Shared, multi-tenant AI infrastructure accelerates smart manufacturing R&D and validation.
SEOUL — INFINITIX, an AI infrastructure software company, today announced the deployment of its enterprise-grade AI infrastructure management platform, AI-Stack, at Korea’s Smart Manufacturing Innovation Center (SMIC).
The deployment provides a shared AI computing environment where multiple researchers and projects can develop, train, and validate AI models concurrently. It also marks the adoption of Taiwan-developed AI infrastructure software within South Korea’s national smart manufacturing testbed.
SMIC validates smart factory technologies and demonstrates industrial applications. To support expanding AI research, the center required a platform that could efficiently manage shared GPU, storage, and networking resources across multiple users.
AI-Stack addresses these requirements through software-defined GPU orchestration, heterogeneous resource management, and multi-tenant controls. Researchers can quickly access GPU resources based on workload needs, while administrators can centrally manage infrastructure through a unified interface.
Intelligent scheduling and resource sharing help reduce GPU idle time, prioritize workloads, and improve utilization, providing a foundation for total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization. AI-Stack can also scale as SMIC expands its manufacturing AI Data Center (AIDC) and develops manufacturing foundation models (MFMs) and smart manufacturing applications.
“SMIC’s stringent requirements for infrastructure stability, resource utilization, and scalability align directly with the core value of AI-Stack,” said Star Ko, General Manager of INFINITIX Korea. “This deployment demonstrates our expertise in software-defined GPU and AI infrastructure, heterogeneous computing orchestration, and multi-tenant management while providing industrial-scale validation for manufacturing AI transformation.”
They will continue expanding their manufacturing AIDC to support AI model development, training, testing, and validation. With AI-Stack, the center can maintain a consistent and scalable environment as infrastructure capacity, users, and workloads grow.
